Sequences are based on seasonal changes as they apply to nature and to the body. Classes incorporate prop-based, passive and active poses to facilitate health and rejuvenation.

Teachings include opening a well-protected heart, internally mapping the routes of the nervous system, honing in on subtle body sensations, and maintaining a state of active meditation.

Jerry Balderas apprenticed with Bekir Algan, Ph.D., Co-founder of Austin Yoga, from 1999–2017. Teachings are influenced by studies in structural engineering, Iyengar yoga, Macrobiotics, Ayurveda, Feldenkrais, Chinese Medicine, Continuum, myofascial release, Trager Method, Vedanta, Aikido, and the Sufi teachings of creating sparks in the hearts of kindred spirits.
